back-end web application development (database, business logic, API) for new website and mobile features
performance and scalability of our platform

customer service tools
WHAT YOU NEED FOR THIS POSITION
Experience in Node.js and/or Python
RESTful web service API development
Experience in MongoDB and/or PostgreSQL
Experience in setting up and configuring Linux servers
Meaningful experience with one version of SQL or other database languages
Willingness and/or ability to do independent research on new APIs
Ability to communicate to all levels of users (internal and external), strong problem-solving skills, adaptable, proactive and willing to take ownership
Strong communication skills in English, verbal and written
EXTRA CREDITS
Demonstrates a good understanding of algorithms, time/data complexity, data structures, scalability, etc.
System performance optimization
Big data technologies: Spark, Hadoop, etc.
System security
Experience with Amazon Web Services (EC2, S3, RDS, etc.)
